Our Initiatives

Women Moving Millions was founded to elevate women’s giving and has a rich history of initiatives that have mobilized resources with intention and urgency, reshaping the landscape of gender-lens philanthropy. Our impact is rooted in collective, bold action—from our founding campaign that raised $181 million for 40 women’s funds, to securing $110 million during the COVID-19 pandemic, to our recent Catalyst Funds. Our unique platform, deep movement expertise, and community-driven approach continue to drive lasting change. The results are clear: when women give boldly, others follow.

Give Bold, #GetEqual Campaign

Launched in September 2020, this resource mobilization campaign was created in response to the disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on organizations working to advance the rights and well-being of women and girls globally. It also sought to bring awareness to the persistent lack of funding going to gender equality work. Within just six months, WMM surpassed its $100 million goal by securing $111 million in new member commitments to gender equality.

Women's Power & Influence Catalyst Fund

Launched in 2022 with a $5M investment from Pivotal Ventures, a Melinda French Gates company, WMM created the Women’s Power & Influence Catalyst Fund to increase women’s economic, political, and cultural power. WMM members responded boldly to this challenge, mobilizing a total of $11 million for 23 U.S. based organizations.

Art Catalyst Fund

Launched in 2025 with a groundbreaking $10 million investment from WMM member Maja Kristin, the Art Catalyst Fund was created to advance gender equality and democracy by investing in women artists across disciplines. Our community mobilized an additional $10 million in new philanthropic commitments, unlocking a total of $20 million to support women artists working to shape narratives, inspire action, and drive social change.

UN Generation Equality Forum

A landmark moment for the global gender equality movement in 2021, WMM partnered with the UN Foundation to launch this series to bring members in conversation with the world’s most influential leaders, policy-makers, entrepreneurs, and activists working to advance gender equality.

All In For Her: A Call to Action

All In For Her was a bold call to action, launched in 2014, to rally WMM members and supporters to accelerate investments in women and girls. The campaign encouraged members to fully leverage their resources, networks, and influence to drive sustainable progress toward gender equality. Through a powerful storytelling initiative, it highlighted a transformative model of philanthropy grounded in collaboration, trust, and feminist leadership.
