Measurement, Evaluation, & Learning Program

In 2022, Women Moving Millions launched a Measurement, Evaluation, and Learning program to develop clear, evidence-based insights into how WMM drives transformative, gender-equitable change, and how our members are shifting norms, practices, and outcomes in philanthropy.

Through the program, we aim to better understand our impact on our membership community and the gender lens philanthropy our members practice, and how our contribution is strengthening the funding ecosystem of the gender equality movement. By building a body of knowledge, insights, and best practices, we seek to improve our core community building work and further our mission to catalyze greater resources for a gender equal world.

Catalyzing Change 2024

Our inaugural Catalyzing Change report affirmed our theory of change and deepened our understanding of how WMM strengthens members’ personal growth, leadership, advocacy, and grantmaking.

Catalyzing Change 2025

Building on our inaugural report, the second Catalyzing Change report offered a deeper examination of WMM members’ philanthropic giving, leadership, and collaborative efforts to drive gender equality, focusing especially on the ripple effects of member philanthropy in the gender equality landscape.

Meeting the Moment 2025

This midyear survey focused on members' response to rising global instability and how they were responding to meet the challenges of the moment, revealing an increasingly collaborative approach with members working together to meet immediate needs and long-term movement sustainability.

Catalyzing Change 2026

Our third Catalyzing Change report examines how WMM members have responded to a period of instability with increased giving, deeper collaboration, and more trust-based philanthropy, highlighting the critical role community plays in strengthening members’ leadership and ability to move resources boldly in support of gender equality.
