The Future of Democracy is Gender Equality

Washington, D.C.

About the Event

Women Moving Millions’ Member Day and Annual Summit took place April 11- 13, 2022 in beautiful Washington, D.C.!

We can’t realize a gender equal world when democracy isn’t strong –and we can’t have strong democracies without equality. In recent years, progress towards both of these goals has slid dramatically around the world – a downward trend that the pandemic accelerated. Which is why this is such a pivotal moment to come together and recommit to this work.

The theme of the 2022 Women Moving Millions Annual Summit, The Future of Democracy is Gender Equality, was a response to this historic moment and a call to action. View our Summit brochure and agenda here.

Over the course of three days, we debated ideas, explored solutions, and examined the unique role and impact that women’s philanthropy can play in achieving these goals – and how you can be a partner in this important word.
