Annual Summit 2023
2023 Annual Summit & Member Day
About the Event
The Women Moving Millions Annual Summit is an invitation-only event for our members and selected guests.
Women Moving Millions’ Annual Summit is held every year and is our most important gathering, bringing together members and partners to learn, connect, and inspire bold giving.
This year’s Summit theme, Catalyzing a Feminist Future, recognizes the urgent need to invest in feminist movements to realize a more just and equitable future for all. We will draw attention to the unprecedented global assault on women’s rights, including the rolling back of reproductive freedom to escalating humanitarian crises, worsening climate change, and the disturbing mainstreaming of traditional, misogynistic beliefs and behaviors. All of these threaten the hard fought progress made to advance gender equality, so we will consider how philanthropy can invest to counter this trend.
Together, we will explore how feminist approaches to philanthropy are challenging long standing power structures and offering a new vision for how funds are distributed and to whom. We will examine how we can invest in efforts that disrupt the cultural attitudes and beliefs that are impeding progress. We will go deep to explore strategies to unlock the potential of feminist philanthropy and leadership. And we will commit as a community to be bold in action and to work together to build a roadmap to the feminist future we are all striving for – one where women and girls are able to fully contribute their time, talent, and resources.
Our history as an organization is proof that when women give boldly, others will follow. We invite you to join us in this critical work ahead.
