Annual Summit 2023
Catalyzing A Feminist Future
About the Event
Women Moving Millions’ Member Day and Annual Summit took place May 10-12, 2023 in stunning Half Moon Bay, California!
The Women Moving Millions Annual Summit is an invitation-only event for our members and selected guests. It is held every year and is our most important gathering, bringing together members and partners to learn, connect, and inspire bold giving.
This year’s Summit theme, Catalyzing a Feminist Future, recognized the urgent need to invest in feminist movements to realize a more just and equitable future for all. We drew attention to the unprecedented global assault on women’s rights, including the rolling back of reproductive freedom to escalating humanitarian crises, worsening climate change, and the mainstreaming of traditional, misogynistic beliefs and behaviors.
During our time together, we explored how feminist approaches to philanthropy challenge long standing power structures and offer a new vision for how funds are distributed and to whom. We examined how to invest in efforts that disrupt the cultural attitudes and beliefs that are impeding progress. We explored strategies to unlock the potential of feminist philanthropy and leadership. And we committed as a community to be bold in action and to work together to build a roadmap to the feminist future we are all striving for – one where women and girls are able to fully contribute their time, talent, and resources.
