While 2025 was marked by uncertainty and upheaval, it ultimately affirmed the strength of the community we have been building since our inception. Years of intentional investment in trust, shared learning, and collective leadership, coupled with the launch of a new strategic plan, meant that Women Moving Millions was not only prepared to navigate disruption, but to lead through it.
To offer a deeper insight into this pivotal year and reflect on what progress can mean amid backsliding, we are proud to share our 2025 Year of Impact Report. From record member giving and deepened collaboration to responsive programming and bold new initiatives, this year’s milestones position us for an ambitious path forward.
When faced with unprecedented challenges, our community did not retreat, but leaned in. With a majority of members increasing their giving, often expanding their support to new causes and issues, members demonstrated what it looks like to meet the moment, responding boldly, flexibly, and urgently to crises and the needs expressed by grantees.
2025 was a year of bold new initiatives. WMM launched the first initiative of our $1 billion effort to secure $1 billion in commitments to advance gender equality by 2030, the Arts Catalyst Matching Fund, which will mobilize $20 million in support of women artists across disciplines. We also proudly joined the Global Philanthropy Project’s Fund Our Futures Campaign with a commitment to mobilize $10 million in new funding from members over the next three years to support global LGBTQ+ movements.
As we look ahead, we are more certain than ever of the power we hold together and are inspired to move forward with courage and conviction. We extend our deepest gratitude to our Board of Directors, members, partners, and friends— your unwavering commitment and generosity make this work possible.
