Give Bold. Get Equal.

Give Bold.
Get Equal.

In response to the global crisis sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic—and its disproportionate impact on women and girls—Women Moving Millions launched the Give Bold, #GetEqual campaign in September 2020. With gender equality at risk of backsliding, our community rose to the moment with urgency, bold leadership, and unwavering resolve.

What began as a two-year campaign quickly became a powerful demonstration of our members’ extraordinary generosity and commitment. With hard-won progress on women’s health, safety, and opportunity under threat, we called on our members to take bold action by committing $100 million to organizations advancing gender equality. Within just six months, we not only met that goal—we surpassed it, securing $111 million in new commitments.

Driven by a shared purpose, our members mobilized quickly to help close critical funding gaps and challenge the systemic and cultural barriers that hold women and girls back. Together, we transformed an ambitious call to action into a defining achievement—ensuring that, even in the midst of global crisis, the movement for gender equality progressed.

Our Bold Commitment: Mobilize $100M for women and girls by 2022

Take action today and join us! Commit to a gender equal world.

  • Ensure our philanthropic strategies remain flexible and responsive to an ever-changing world.
  • Build partnerships based upon trust, ceding power to leaders who are closest to the issues we are trying to address.
  • Honor the complexity of our work by breaking down the silos in giving and applying an intersectional lens.
  • Acknowledge the consequences of our power and privilege in order to listen and learn how to be more effective allies in fighting systemic injustices and dismantling the structures that support them.
